On tap at Bennigans in Chicago, October 2011. After long day with flights from DCA to JFK, and then to ORD and walking around in Chicago this was a refreshing beer to enjoy. A solid beer I must say, one of the better Oktoberfest-beers that I have tried.

Clear amber with a small white head. Clean malt aroma. Simple malt profile in the flavor. Pretty solid and straightforward O’Fest.

(bottle) clear deep golden/orange colour, small white head; very faint aroma of honey and citrus; balanced flavour, develops a long medium bitter finish. Not really interesting, but I am not a fan of the style.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel-orange color with a large foamy yellow-white head that produced some lacing. The aroma was light and tangy with a hint of fruity and a faint vegetal note. The flavor was tart, bitter and tangy with light caramel and a touch of vegetal malts. A bit boozy which was surprising. medium length tangy and bitter finish. Medium body. Eh.

Poured from 12 oz bottle, enjoyed while watching a pivotal game in the White Sox vs. Twins series towards the end of the year. This beer goes perfectly with mid-September baseball! Aroma of malt, hints of roast, rather faint. Appearance is a clear amber with a thin head. Taste is very crisp, very nice malty aftertaste and I can definitely taste the hops which I can’t with other Oktoberfest beers. This is a really good one, probably the best I’ve had in the style.
