Bottle bought in California, 2016 or 2017. Hazy reddish with a small head. Aroma of funk, berries and some citrus. The same in the taste, also some light oak. The body was medium and the finish was fairly tart. A nice one.

Bottle from Beerdome.nl. Smooth sour nose. The beer starts nice sourish and fresh. Dry sour fresh blackberries. Tart and funky, wood with hints of white wine in the back. Lots of blackberries with a great funky sour ending. Deep and refreshing, but not too long in the aftertaste, quite mild, round and fruity sour fresh. Nice.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/1/2016. Pours slightly hazy reddish orange/pink/purple color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing lings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart/tangy blackberry, fruit skin, cherry, plum, lemon, green apple, red grape, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of leathery/musty funk, vanilla, pepper, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blackberries, wine barrels, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy blackberry, fruit skin, cherry, plum, lemon, green apple, red grape, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of leathery/musty funk, vanilla, pepper, and yeast/oak earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light yeast/wine/oak spiciness, and fruit tang on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy blackberry, fruit skin, cherry, plum, lemon, green apple, red grape, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, pepper, light leathery/musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blackberries, wine barrels, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and wine/oak spiciness balance; with minimal puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tart/spiciness and wine/oak spiciness. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/grainy/acidic, and fairly tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.1%. Overall this is an awesome fruited sour/wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blackberries, wine barrels, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the balanced lactic/tannic/drying finish. Really great well rounded Brett complexity; perfectly balanced Lacto, fruit, and wine barrels; and just enough pale malt to keep it from being puckering. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
