Oneida is Hallertau Blanc-centric. The bright tropical fruit and lemongrass notes give it an uber-pungent aroma, with the grapefruity citrus of Cascade providing a touch of balance. We've also added experimental hop variety 05256 to the mix, adding a nice hop complexity while keeping it a drinkable pale ale. While more aggressively bitter than Fortunate Islands, Oneida still has a light body and moderate ABV. We're considering making Oneida our spring seasonal, but that's all kind of up in the air.

Draught @ 3 SmΓ₯ Rum. Pours pretty much clear pale golden with a frothy white head that leaves some sticky trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity and grassy with crackers, grapefruit juice, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, green grapes, moist grass, pine needles, minerals, cat piss, cheese and lemon zest. Taste is bitter, slightly fruity and grassy. Mouthfeel is dry, slightly watery, slightly astringent and light bodied. Finish is bitter with crackers, grapefruit juice, unripe mango, freshly cut grass, pine needles, minerals, kumquats, grape skins and lemon zest. Solid SIPA... Gets better as it aerates and loses the weird cheese nose. In good shape but suspect it be much fruitier fresh. Enjoyable and refreshing...

Tap at Ushi-Tora. Clear pale straw color with a nice big grapefruit and lime nose with some green pineapple and cracker as well. Taste is more of the same. Body was a little light, but still very hop forward. Tropical fruit flavors abound. Nice bitter finish. Another solid beer from MT. --- Beer merged from original tick of Oneida on 10 Aug 2015 at 21:13 - Score: 8

Pour is a clear yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a full on fruity hop with pineapple being the most discernible fruit. Very juicy fruity and fresh. Flavor is also a nice fresh hop but not as strong as I would have thought after the aroma. Very thin body with lots of carbonation. Still as a lower alcohol beer this is plenty hoppy and clean.

500mL can, pours a clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out skunky vegetal notes, with dry hops in there upfront. Flavour is quite herbal, with vegetal skunky notes and dry hops. Seems too skunked. Fresh and drinkable but seems a little off. Meh.
