Pours a very deep reddish amber that starts to fade into brown. Average sized, relatively compact head, the slightest off-white, so-so persistence but nice lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: mainly malty with caramel and lighter toasted notes, some fruitiness (kind of candied fruit like, but not very defined), a bit of underlying herbal feel and perhaps a hint of licorice. Taste notes follow the aroma; as for the smell, average intensity, so so definition. Sweetish in the mouth, balanced enough in finish/aftertaste, where a mix of herbal and licorice feel lingers. Medium body, average to high but quite delicate carbonation; a semi-full mouthfeel with a hint of creaminess, average drinkability for the abv. Ok on the overall (excellent price/quality ratio).

Bottiglia.

330ml bottle as Leffe Rouge. Clear dark amber with a lively white head. Spicy hop and yeast aroma, flavour is similar with a solid caramel base. Slight metallic aftertaste, but otherwise a solid beer

bottiglia 33 cl, Leffe Rouge, scad. 07.01.20, bel cappello di schiuma bianco sporco fine persistente, colore ambrato carico limpido, al naso classico aroma Leffe lieviti belgi frutta matura banana tante spezie, in bocca frutta a pasta gialla caramello spezie, corpo medio, carbonazione moderata, oily, dolce con amaro moderato. Served from PerfectDraft @ 3°c. Creamy white head stayed on a thick cloudy vivid golden body. Minimal aroma of spice & malt. Medium bodied, creamy mouth feel with a tingle on the back. Spices, lactose, light malt, & fruity tastes with a hoppy peppery finish. Nice
