Tap. Bronze colour. Clear. Huge creamy white head. Excellent retention. Yeasty aroma. Candy, fresh mushrooms. Light to medium body. Sweetish taste of caramel, esters. Light bitterness appears near finish. It looks perfect. It smells intriguingly. It tastes just good. Downstairs. Nevertheless nice experience.

*Old rating, best before 08/02/12. As Leffe Printemps / Lentebier. Smooth but a bit alcoholic. Round and fresh, smooth, mild, grainy. Round but not too deep.

From tap at the Beerstore, Thessaloniki. Almost clear, dark amber color with white head. Aroma is malty, spicy, citrusy fruity, caramel, dusty malty. Sweet and light bitter taste, fruity and dusty like aroma. Light almost oily body with soft carbonation.

Keg @ De Kuppe, Brugge. Called Printemps Lentebier. Clear cherry-red colour with a small bubbly head. The cherry is evident but light and it’s a fairly refreshing fruity beer with its strength not really evident.

Tasted as Leffe Rossa in Venice in 2004 and as Leffe Bière de Printemps / Lentebier when it was put on the Belgian market under that name in 2011. Perfectly equal, off-white, creamy head, light amber colour, clear with calm sparkling. Pasteurized smell, caramelly malts, bit nutty, molasses, meat broth, biscuit, tulips, tomato, mango, smoked bacon. Caramelly taste, slick with rather thin body, floral and honeyish, sweetish, strongish carbo, fairly straightforward and boring like the other Leffes. Slight hop bitterness in the finish as well as badly hidden alcohol. Another industrial, ’dead’ AB InBev product.

Standard Belgian blond beer, way too sweet and a bit too chemical. Didn’t like it.

Odense drinking Belgian Beer in February. Dark golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of spice, bubblegum and banana. Classic Leffe flavour of yeast, fruit, spice and alcohol.

Bottle @ Odense Tasting Feb. 2014. Pours ruby amber with a small creamy head. Yeast, grain, corn, fruit and a whiff of honey. A whisper of alcohol.
