330ml bottle from the beer palais on the French / Belgian border at Watou. Pours reddish dark brown. Has a deep, rich, familiar Leffe flavour but with an acute, almost menthol like sweetness that adds a freshness to the beer. Tastes stronger than 6.6%.

From a mini keg dispense device at Dranken Geers, Ghent, 23/03/13 as ’Lentebier’. Clear golden with a big biege head, excellent lacing ensues. Nose is malt forward, musty, grain, rye bread dough, light spice. Taste follows, some yeast, spice, rye, grain, bready. Medium bodied, fairly smooth on the palate, dryish finish. Ok average fayre.

Tap at Dranken Geers, Gent. Lovely for a Leffe. Caramel, bread, not too swet or boozy. Decent balance. Drinkable. (3.6)
Bottle as breakfast beer at Borefts basecamp - Utrecht. Pours clear copper with a big, frothy white head. Bit of that Leffe caramel and sugary malt character in the nose, along with yeast and brown bread. Medium sweet flavor with soft berries, light bitter leaves, herbs. Medium bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Sweet finish with herbal hops, moderately dry caramel. Pretty basic overall but OK.

Another rate by memorie . Better than i thought , wich was - discusting- This was drinkable but oh so mediocer . as promised - rerating since i drank it again ! no change of score, still think its 3,5 . but i can, however, give more details. smell is floral, sweet (leffe blond-ish) . taste is floral, and , as always with leffe, discustingly mediocer and sweet. they keep fucking up their beers , WHY ?
