22 ounce bottle. Garnet colored liquid topped by a thick rocky tan head. Pleasant roasted malt aroma has hints of molasses and baked bread. Upfront, flavor is sweet roasted malt with notes of dark dried fruits and caramel. Mid taste brings a fig-like sweet maltiness. Finish is soft and silky with a light spicy hop character.

Bottled. An amber beer with lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, bread, and butterscotch, leading to a bitter finish.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark nut brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was woody, ashy and had a bit of maple. The flavor was sweet pineapple, coconut, wood, a hint of smoke and moderate maple. Medium length pineapple, wood and maple finish. Medium body. Nice and much better then I expected.

From a 22 oz bottle shared in Avon NC. Cloudy amber pour with a fine off white head. Sweet aroma with notes of dark cherry. Lively mouthfeel with lots of carbonation and an underlying bitterness. Flavors of caramel and tart cherries. Tart, crisp finish.

This brew is a clear pale mahogany color with a medium creamy light beige head that diminishes slowly. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and smoke. Medium body with flavors of peaty malt, caramel and slight hops. The candy sugar element is very subtle. Finishes slightly smoky with a malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
