Next up, a lager. There are two schools of thought here, you can either keep it classic and nail the colours of Germany or the Czech Republic to the mast, or you can freestyle. Lost Lager is the best of both worlds. BrewDog Head of Production Jason Pond has spent months dialling in a brand new dry-hopped pilsner that has, at its heart, two secret weapons.
The first is the contemporary German hop variety Saphir – renowned for a vibrancy of citrus and stone fruit. The second is the deployment of lager yeast from the world-beating Weihenstephan. Conditioned for 28 days, Lost Lager is destined to be a crisp, clean pilsner with hints of spice and a zesty lime marmalade character. Prepare to lose yourself at the end of the month.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma is grainy, grassy, floral and mild fruity. Pours cloudy straw color with thick creamy white head, nice lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts mild sweet grainy and biscuity, following is grassy, faint citrusy and stone fruity, mouthfeel is smooth and dry, while finish is average bitter. Light to medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Lost sapphire...

Hazy pale golden colour, tall stable frothy white head, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malt, bread, grain, grass. Taste light to medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, grass. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, dry sweetbitter aftertaste, light spicy notes, crisp well-made pilsner but nothing special.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Dry malty aroma. Starts mild, malty, dry. Metallical notes. Finish a bit boring malty. Nothing special.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Albert Heijn Culemborg. Clear yellow with a white head. Citrus aroma with some grassy hops as well. Light bitter taste with a crisp light body. Nice hoppy pilsener, perfect for a Christmas BBQ.
