Next up, a lager. There are two schools of thought here, you can either keep it classic and nail the colours of Germany or the Czech Republic to the mast, or you can freestyle. Lost Lager is the best of both worlds. BrewDog Head of Production Jason Pond has spent months dialling in a brand new dry-hopped pilsner that has, at its heart, two secret weapons.
The first is the contemporary German hop variety Saphir – renowned for a vibrancy of citrus and stone fruit. The second is the deployment of lager yeast from the world-beating Weihenstephan. Conditioned for 28 days, Lost Lager is destined to be a crisp, clean pilsner with hints of spice and a zesty lime marmalade character. Prepare to lose yourself at the end of the month.

33cl can. Fruity grainy beginning. Easy to drink, fruity with lots of grain. The floral hops are there, slightly grainy with a moderate earthy bitter floral grainy finish.

330ml can at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear light straw colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, big cardboard yeast, light grassy hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a light, crisp, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. As far as lagers go, this is a step above the rest with a little bit more going on, but at a Brewdog price.

16oz can. Filtered yellow-tan body. Frothy, soapy, white head. Carbonation bubbles rising from the bottom. Bright and rather enjoyable. Strikes me as more of a Czech Pils in body, but a more aggressive German hop character. Pretty good. Very sessionable, but has some nice character. Pleasantly medium bodied.

Brilliant white rocky head stayed well on a pale lemon coloured, slowly carbonating body. Grain, grass & bitter aroma. Medium to thin bodied, sharp, dry & clean on the palate. Grass, bitter fruit, pale malt & tangy citrus tastes.
