Next up, a lager. There are two schools of thought here, you can either keep it classic and nail the colours of Germany or the Czech Republic to the mast, or you can freestyle. Lost Lager is the best of both worlds. BrewDog Head of Production Jason Pond has spent months dialling in a brand new dry-hopped pilsner that has, at its heart, two secret weapons.
The first is the contemporary German hop variety Saphir – renowned for a vibrancy of citrus and stone fruit. The second is the deployment of lager yeast from the world-beating Weihenstephan. Conditioned for 28 days, Lost Lager is destined to be a crisp, clean pilsner with hints of spice and a zesty lime marmalade character. Prepare to lose yourself at the end of the month.

66 cl bottle. Slightly hazy pale golden colour with a thin white head, that leaves some fine lacework. Sweet, fruity aroma with citrus, earthy hoppy notes, grasses and a tropical hint. Pale malts. Taste is bitter. Medium bodied. Drying, fruity finish with grasses and floral hoppy notes. Great pils up with the best Germans.

Bottle at Monkey Puzzle, Farnborough. Yeasty floral aroma. Light gold. Thin bubbly white head. Light bitter with some crispness to it. Sweey maltiness then appears into the finish. Light. Thin. Lively fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Inoffensive.

Can from Pivny raj. First off the can gushed a bit, weird. The carbonation is pretty high, while the body rather thing. Quite clean overall, in terms of fermentation and maltiness. Lightly basementy yeast, malt in background. The dry hopping does not seem to have had a tremendous effect, though there definitely is a fruity hoppiness present. Moderate bitterness, overall hops character is rather light though. Good, drinkable, nothing great though.

Pale yellow colour, small white head. Light grainy, maybe a bit fruity aroma. Light-bodied. Some fruits, grain, pils malts in the flavour. Very easy-going lager. Not much to talk about but same time some hops, some malts, no faults. Sauna beer!

330mml. bottle. @«A Galiciana», Compostela. 06/09/2019. Light hazy pale yellow colour with a medium white head. Aroma is floral, corn, malts and soft spiced. Taste is corn, herbal hops and lemony zest. Little harsh bitter finish. Next one please!

0,33 l bottle. Pours hazy straw yellow with a finger of lasting, frothy whit head. Aroma is mild, some citrus, hay, pilsner malt. Flavor is richer, but similar, citrus, lemon zest, peach and unmistakable pilsner malt floral honey like aroma. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium, carbonation lively, quite harsh on the tongue. Finish is medium long, citrus with pleasant lingering bitterness. Decent pilsner though not special.
