Cat Spit is a very easy drinking oatmeal stout that everyone loves because it is frickin awesome. It has a good amount of flavor in the roasty area, that comes only from the malt bill. It’s just the way I like a stout to be, so there.

Note: Cat Spit Stout has been reformulated as an Oatmeal Milk Stout beginning in early 2015.

5oz draft at brewery. Aroma is very minerally, light cured meet, a little salty, and earthy light syrup malts. Flavor is much less mineral with more of that slight dry black malt but watery/lightly syrup. A lighter beer, not big, not sweet, and earthy.

Bottle from gregwilsonstl, thanks for the opportunity! Dark brown/black color with a huge bubbly tan head that attempts to pour itself despite the 35 degrees that the bottle is sitting at. Sweet milk chocolaty malt with bits of creamed coffee and a touch of lactose. Smooth creamy mouthfeel surprisingly the mouthfeel isn’t overly bubbly. Tasty sweet stout actually.

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is a decent mix of roast and chocolate with a bit of brown sugar. Flavor is again an ok roasted oat and chocolate malt. Mouthfeel is a bit thin but there is a pleasant char malt left on the tongue. Not the most intense stout but still decent.
