500 ml bottle. Almost clear brown red with a small creamy head. Roasted malt, raisins, toffee, slightly metallic, prunes, brown sugar. Mild dryness, malty sweetness. Medium to light bodied, oily watery texture, soft carbonated, dry malty finish. Nothing special, a simple Dunkel without depth.

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Monday 1st May 2023 listening to some tracks off the new Dreamwife album and about to cook Kachin Chicken Curry (a Burmese curry). Pours brown good clarity, off-white head, sweet with a toffee edge, malty even a little yeasty nose, ok.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Hereford Beer House. Pours clear copper with a small, foamy off-white head. Light-medium sweet with notes of toasted biscuits, hints of caramel, brown bread, a light metallic note, low bitterness, faint berries. Light bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance to finish, more toasted biscuits and brown bread, soft brown sugar. Easy-drinking stuff.

Delivery from Café Brecht during the never ending miserable f@&king lockdown of ‘20/21. Clear brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, dough, toasty notes, and dark toffee with some overripe dark fruits. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Light to light medium bodied with light moderate carbonation.

(31.5.2020, Pfingstsonntag.)

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with orange tinges. Nuts, brown sugar and some slightly roasted notes in the aroma. Blackcurrant, raisins, caramel and some spicy and bready notes. A dunkel with plenty of character and drinkability.
