We have traversed the globe to Mexico where we celebrate Brett’s love of South American food and the citrus zing of the mighty lime.

Clean and crisp with refreshing tangy limes and a moreish briny finish, this is our perfect summer beer. It originally took inspiration from Sleeping Lemons and the beautiful preserved lemons we use, but the idea developed into a cleaner beer, taking the Corona and lime wedge and stepping it up a notch.

Brewing a beer around the taste of lime naturally led us to using this beautiful citrus fruit, utilising both the fresh pulp and the zest. A clean and crisp base was achieved by using a lager yeast with the lime building an addictive tang to the pallet and a gose inspired flurry of salt adding to the finish. What is it? A lager, a gose, a sour... Who cares. Put simply it is one of the finest accompaniments for the British summertime.

330ml can. Poured a hazy golden straw colour with a thin fizzy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is yeast, light lime citrus. The flavour is moderate sour, with a light, watery, dry citrus palate. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Too light all round for my liking.

Can. Slightly hazy yellow golden, tiny nonlasting white head. Gentle nose, medium grassy, some sea character, slight lime. Gentle bitterness, quiet salty but nice. A bit grassy. Ligt and very fresh. Nice.

Can, 0.33l. Aroma of grass, cereals, lime, salt, yeast and grape skin. Pours clear pale golden color with medium sized frothy white head and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts light sweet and sour grainy and citrusy, following is grassy, dusty, slightly salty and mild funky, mouthfeel is smooth and mild spicy, while finish is light bitter. Light body, thin texture and lively carbonation in palate. More vivid than sleepy...

Hazy golden beer with a smell of zesty hop and salt. Flavour does have a noteable saltiness, just about offset by a slightly lacklustre lime flavour and some bready malt. It's crisp, fresh, a little sour and a little disappointing. Not Wild Beer's most distinctive effort.

On tap at Primož, Ljubljana. Shared with little Dina. Hazy pale golden, minimal head. Aroma is lime, juice, herbs, grain, acidity. Salt, sour lime, slightly perfumy. Very light and watery, not without character, even some bitterness in the finish. Moderate to high carbonation.

Appearance is golden, a small white head which quickly dissipates to a ring. Aroma- limes, citrus fruit, malty, hint of cardboard malt. Taste- a bit salty, lime, cereal malt, quenching finish.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours partially hazy, blonde, with fine white foam. Aroma is delicate but from up close intensely limey, almost like a dish washing soap. Body is average with moderate carbonation. Taste is delicately sour, with a bit of sweetness as well. Finish is fairly short.

Medium orangey gold body and big foam on top. Soft tin and hay on the nose. Flavour is plenty of sweet lime, kind of fake, and salted gose. Rather generic and seems a little artificial but okay and workable as a mass market kind of beer.
