A warming dark beer that’s perfect for the colder months. The rich malt base is layered with plums, cherries and blackcurrants, topped off with a sprinkling of cinnamon and lemon zest. The end result is a hearty beer packed with caramelised sugar, festive fruit flavours and a toasted finish.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Daniel. Pours clear brown with a creamy tan head. The aroma holds fruitcake, well toasted brown bread, toffee, berries. Medium sweet flavour with some ashy roast, bitter earth, minerals, cocoa, burnt grass, leathery berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry and bitter finish, ashy and grassy. So so.

Almost opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, some mild dark chocolate and a little cream. Trace of smoke. Modest ripe fruits and spice. Smooth finish. Not bad.
