Bottle from Hausmann Getränke, Drink with smoked prime rib. Dark Amber hazy, big head but fast vanishing. Lightly smoked banana nose (now there's an idea for the GMG pellet grill). Flavor is slightly creamy, mild smoke. Carbonation is a bit coarse for a Weißbier. Moderate body. Interesting mix of the banana yeasty notes and light whisky malt smoke, I guess a low percent of smoked malt but it's in a good balance range.

Bottle. Murky brown with shades of orange and an average white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, some clove and just traces of peat. Taste of malts, bananas, yeast, clove and phenolic peat/smoke. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Full bodied. Very nice. Pairs well with an Ardbeg An Oa.

500ml bottle. Cloudy, dark amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Wheaty malty, yeasty fruity and mildly smoky malty aroma, notes of banana, baked banana, some clove, a touch of nutmeg, cinnamon, bacon. Taste is sweet-ish, wheaty malty, yeasty fruity and mildly smoky, notes of banana, pear, yellow apple, baked apple, baked banana, a touch of honey, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon; mild, smoky finish with a touch of bacon. Slightly creamy, watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium to coarse, prickly to lively carbonation. Well balanced, very fruity, not banana dominated, mild smokiness, nice spiciness, a tad overcarbonated - pretty good.

3/3/2020. Bottle at Munich Tap House. Pours hazy red amber with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma is smokey bacon, wood barrel, citrus, touch of spruce and spice. Very weak bourbon. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, average carbonation.

Brutales Teil, rauchig und Whiskymalz vereint gleich zwei sehr gewöhnungsbedürftige Geschmäcker. Dazu irgendwie seifig, seltsam unrund.

Hösl Whiskey-Weiße, Flasche von Edeka Legat, Mitterteich. - Dunkelgoldbraun, trüb; für ein Weißbier erstaunlich wenig Schaum. - In der Nase natürlich zuerst die ungewohnten, mild torfigen Whisky-Aromen, die sich gut in obergärige dunkle Weißbieraromen mit Nelke, Rosenblättern und Hefe einfügen. - Antrunk schlank dunkelweizenmalzig mit Toffee, milder süßlicher Frucht (Orangensaft, Dosenobst), abgeschmeckt mit Banane, Rhabarber und milder herbaler Herbe. Die Whisky-Aromen wirken hier etwas aufgesetzt, die torfig-rauchigen Züge sind viel milder als bei einem guten Rauchbier und werden von leicht sirupartiger fruchtiger Süße eingerahmt. Gut rezent, für seine 5,6 % wenig vollmundig, dennoch leicht schnapsig (oder kommt mir das nur so vor, wegen der Whisky-Noten?). Im Abgang sortentypisch milde Herbe, kandierte Orangenschale. - Originelle Idee, auch durchaus trinkbar, aber man hätte mehr draus machen können. (28.9.2019.)

Bottle. Amber color. Very cloudy. Looks dirty and ugly. Dried berries, citrus and a hint of cheap whiskey in the aroma. Smoke, whiskey notes, dried tropical fruit and yeasty notes in the flavor. Strange beer.
