0.1l ceramic bottle, waxed and corked with a tiny toy-tork kindly provided to me by ElDesmadre. Know you have been hunting these down for a while, so much appreciated. Have been saving this for a while now, and I have to admit I had at first no idea on how to get this bottle opened, but I managed after some clever engineering. Anyhow, I'm pouring this into my De Molen tasting glass, and it pours a light blurry copper-brown colored thing - much the same as a good whisky looks like. Simply amazing in the glass. So much going on on the aroma! It's of course honey-sweet, but there are so many small nuances of so many different things in here. To mention some, I get hay, grass, benzine, dark syrupy fruit extract of bot strawberries, cellary gooseberries, wood, furniture stored on the attic carpet and something slightly lemony as well. Quite unique. Time to taste: Yupp, it's really as a good mead should be. Sticky, sweet, heavy concentrated and really tasty. Not as amazing as the aroma perhaps, but still pretty darn nice. Old honey from the can, hay, flowers, cough syrup, lots of sweet raisins, wooden dark furniture, deep stored sherry and caramelized glazed strawberries. Loaded with flavor, so much that the tiniest amount is enough to set the buds in overdrive. Mead is such a funny invention, and you just gotta love it. 23.01.2013

Bottle dated 2008-11-28. Pours with a clear bronze body. Still, huge legs. Aromas are massive and rich, vinous, brandy, port, sweet, oak, red wine, sherry oxidation, waxy, lightly earthy and a touch herbal. Rich. Flavors. This is a fully sweet mead. Complex sipper. Full bodied, rich with some oxidative notes, lightly metallic, herbal (celery?), marzipan, maple and a light burnt note. Hugely viscous and a well hidden ABV.
