Bock auf Bock? Doppelbock!

(bottle, 33cl, gusher) Hazy, ruby brown colour with a beige and loose foamy head. Moderately sweet and toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel/toffee, also subtle dried fruit notes. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Toasty malty and mioldly berry-fruity taste with notes of caramel, restrained hoppy accents; slightly earthy and moderately toasted malty finish with notes of caramel and traces of booze. Likeable. 19.VII.17

Tap at the brewpub, 15/07/17. Rich Reddish amber with a decent light beige head that retains well. Nose is sweet malts, toffee, rich malts, brown sugars. Taste comprises caramel, toffee, melted brown sugars, dates, fruit loaf. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a alcoholic kiss. Not bad ... just a touch too sweet for me.

Dark brown with little beige head. Aroma is roast, perfume, caramel, brown sugar. Taste is perfume, bitter roast, sweet caramel. A bit too perfumy, not smooth or pretty drinkable. Not so nice.

Fläschla (...hyggelig!):Cloudy, ruby-amber coloured, pretty stable off-white to tanned head;pretty sweet caramelly noss with traces of rye-bread, hops barely detectable ; moderate to solid sweet flavour, nearly without any bitterness, medium bodied; unexpectedly increasing bitterness towards the malty-bready finish. Neither bad nor glorious...
