What started out as a little bit of fun quickly became the favourite of many die hard ale fans and has become permanent. Probably best described stylistically as a Californian IPA, this beer has all the rich malt and fruit flavours of a Barley Wine combined with the hoppy crispness of a Pale Ale. And as best said by one of its biggest fans, "Hoppiness = Happiness."

Clear orange to golden beer, big creamy solid irregular off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, lots of peaches, mango, passion fruit, pineapple, hint of caramel, citrus, lychee. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty cheesy start, typical UK hop character comes to mind, then a fruit explosion of mango, peach and citrus, providing a rather resinous bitterness, backed up by sweet malts to sooth immediately. Aftertaste: more resin, still very fruity, hint of caramel, dry finish with grassy notes. Lovely beer!

330 ml. can. BBF 08/2016. Clear golden, creamy egg-white head. Nose is mellow melon hop, flowers, light citrus plus reasonably big milky yeast. Milky body. Bit yeasty, milky, white bread, mellow, lightly sweetish, flowers, melon, mellow citrus. Nice but a bit too yeasty & the hops are too mellow. Drinks nicely still. Not excellent.

4 oz pour on cask at ChurchKey. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of stone fruit, citrus, floral notes. Tastes of citrus, floral notes, aged hops, bitter hops. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Cask at the Old Fountain. Deep orange, cloudy, low head. Spicy, fruit nose, peach, orange, light tropical fruits, biscuits. Sweet and rich, nice stone fruit. A bit heavy and sweet.

Tasted from the tap on the 11/07/2015 at the Caminha Artbeerfest. Gold to orange colour with a medium white and bubbly head. Aroma of hops and grains. Taste is fruity with grassy notes and a touch of yeast. Next one please!

On tap at Christian Firtal Pale Ale Festival. Cloudy orange with a lasting white head. Aroma of lemon peel, with pine, herbs and winegum. Sweet fruity flavour with grassy notes and a touch of yeast.

Tap at The Globe. Bright honey orange pour. Fruit hops aroma. Taste follows, balanced by Rich maltiness. Not bad.

Pale golden color with a frothy and creamy white head. Aroma is slightly hoppy with light maltiness and fruity notes. Flavor is light bittery, very fruity with notes of tangerine and slightly citrus. Mild bittery final.
