What started out as a little bit of fun quickly became the favourite of many die hard ale fans and has become permanent. Probably best described stylistically as a Californian IPA, this beer has all the rich malt and fruit flavours of a Barley Wine combined with the hoppy crispness of a Pale Ale. And as best said by one of its biggest fans, "Hoppiness = Happiness."

Bottle from bottle-shop.eu. Thanks Bob! Orange colour, creamy beige foam. Medium carbonation. Aroma of tropical fruit (mango, passion fruit) with bitter hoppy finish. Well balanced. Light sweet, very bitter finish. Very good beer!

Keg @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a hazy yellow with decent white head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruits. Taste bears a confident fruity hoppiness balanced by a good malt presence. Easy-drinking for the ABV.

Bottle from Bere Buona Birra, Milan; 6.7% ABV
Golden color. Strong herbaceous hop aroma, also piney, menthol, eucalyptus; sweat. Dry mouthfeel, lean body; bready and cereally malt flavor; very strong bitterness, with a strong piney and resiny final.
It delivers the hop promise.

Draft. A murky dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of lemons, yuzu fruits, malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, lemons, yuzu fruits, malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge, Saturday 26th April 2014 consumed at Cabbage Moors campsite, Monday 27th April 2014 Pours hazy mid gold with an off-white head. Lovely hoppy nose, fresh, zippy aroma, like a freshly mown orchard. Soft in mouth but creamy and hoppy then with a wonderfully vicious hoppy bite. Really streaky with a pithiness some sweet breakfast grapefruit. This is superb, cannot believe I’d not had this before, stunner, brilliant. A8 A4 T9 P5 Ov18 4.3
