Unsere fränkische Antwort auf ein englisches Stout.
Im Glas zeigt sich feinporiger, cremefarbener Schaum auf tiefschwarzem, obergärigen Bier. Feine Röstnoten nach Kaffee und Dörrzwetschgen lassen auf das schließen, was im Geschmack folgt: Dunkle Schokolade, und getrocknete Rosinen eingebettet in einen schlanken Körper mit angenehmer Bittere. Die Aromen der Karamell-, Röst- und Spezialmalze stehen im Vordergrund, das cremige Mundgefühl setzt dem Weiherer Schwärzla die Krone auf.

Transparant bubbles over deep dark chestnut beer. Chocolate, mocha, Belgian pralines , ganache, chocolate waferfilling, straw. Liquorice, tobacco, dried out black chocolate, plywood, cardboard. Very dry finish, the sweetness remaining very much in the background. Light body, quite slick, medium carbonation. Strange beer, somewhere on the edge of Schwarz and Porter.

500ml bottle. Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, dried fruit. Taste is dry, roasted, ash. Medium bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Opaque deep brown with a one finger tall off-white frothy head of medium retention. Aroma: roast, burnt bread, coffee, distant esters . Taste: near to dry. Roasted, coffee and chocolate, hop,additional esters. Light plus ending bitterness. Mouth feel: medium minus body, soft to average carbonation. Overall: decent.

0,5 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Black in the glass with a more than one finger frothy beige head. Malt an dry berry fruits on the nose. Taste is malty with choco elements. Little bit more roasted with lactose in the second part. Roasty aftertaste. Low carbonated. Nice.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a nice head. Starts fine malty, roasty, mild sweetish notes. Hints of chocolate, mild sweetness. Finish well balanced, soft-malty. Nice!

Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, dried fruit and leather. Pours pitch black color with thin soapy light brown head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet chocolate, milk and caramel, following is heavily roasted, grassy and faintly smoked, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is quite bitter. 50cl Fles van De Laat. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Pure chocolade, caramel, licht gebrand, vol van smaak, iets dennen en gras, degelijk bitter. Medium body. Erg lekker.
