Bottle, thanks Andreas! Slightly more reddish deep amber-copper color with eggshell head than their Heller Bock. Aroma is raisins, molasses, toffee, caramel, slightly sirupy. Taste is toffee, herbal-earthy hops, a bit of chocolate, quite full-flavoured, with a pronounced bitterness. Oily mouthfeel. The best of the four beers I’ve tried from this brewery. This one is very decent, the other ones were on the worse end of the spectrum.

Bottle. Pours clear darkish amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt with mild hoppy and fruity notes. bitter, hoppy onset, giving way to malty sweetness with notes of caramel, ending rather dry. Pronounced alcohol notes. Rich carbonation. An OK Doppelbock, but rather anonymous and not as good as the Heller Bock made by the same brewery.
