bottle from pivnizub! Brown colour, mid-sized beige head. Caramel, malty with hints of "Bayrisch Blockmalz", shy hoppy finish.

[9/22/11] Mahleket Hanikot Shotrim ’11 tour. Bottle on the ferry from Rostock to Sweden. Clear amber-brown color with a bit of unimpressive bubbly beige foam that disappears immediately. Aroma of malt, caramel, light toastiness and alcohol notes. Sweet caramelly flavor with a drier alcoholic finish. Medium-bodied with strong (too strong) carbonation. Nothing very wrong, just not too pleasant overall.

50 cL bottle. Pours clearm deep orange to maghoni brown and golden. Lacing off-white head. Aroma is mild hoppy and solid breadish, seems sweet. Solid breadish flavour, yet with a mild fruity accent and sweet caramel. Solid bitterness coming through into a dry breadish and bitter finish. Well crafted.

Re-rate from bottle. By far more impressive malt body this time around - it is a doppelbock for sure now. Fullbodied, nice far roast and preserved fruit, a hint smoke. Old rating - 6 4 6 3 11 Bottle. Brown golden lacing cappucino head. Light caramelized molassis aroma. Sweet malt base, light roastyness, ok hop balance, finishing on a equally roasted and bitter-dry foot. Caramel retronasal. Medium to light mouthfeel, a hint stickyness on the tongue. Simple, drinkable bock.

The bottle looks really good. The beer in the glass also, but there is not much foam. The beer tastes very alcoholic, that’s not good. But it’s not too malty like other beers of this style.

Deep amber with a medium sized, lasting white head. Fruity malt nose with a hint of roast malt. Dry with a strong malty flavour.

Sehr milder, fast aromenneutraler Antrunk. Test vom 21.5.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,8,9,12,12,9 - 9,35
