Sprittiger, weich malziger Antrunk. Zunehmende Intensität, Noten von Plastik, falsch wirkend. Etwas nach Birne. Meh. 8/7/7/6/9/6

(swing top bottle, 75cl) Slightly hazy, murky amber colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy layer. Delicately toasted dark malty and slightly oxidized aroma with traces of caramel and notes of booze-soaked pears. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a tame carbonation. Initially quite sweet malty with notes of alcohol, caramel and pears; stickily sweet malty and boozy finish. Not convincing. 08.VIII.17

Bottle. Dark amber color with tiny tan layer. Aroma is williams pear, chocolate, earthy. Taste is williams schnaps, chocolate. Medium carbonation. Not very good, although the Williams aroma is quite authentic.

Brown with little white head. Aroma is pear, dark toffee and slight grains. Taste is harsh phenolic dark malt with lots of metllic bitterness. Not good. But has a nice pear aroma.

Buegelverschlußflasche (otto’s mops...):Almost clear, amber coloured, big and stable creamy off-white head; distinctive traces of pears or - better - pear-brandy (Williams Christ) in the slightly boozy, but mainly caramelly sweet-bitter nose; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, a bit sticky indeed; shorter sweet-fruity-caramally finish with booze and bitterness in the aftertaste. A Bier of the interesting but boring kind...
