Kräftige schwarzbraune Farbe, duftender haselnussfarbener Schaum, röstig, nussig, ausgeprägt bitter, ausgewogene Aromatik mit Kaffee‐ und Schokoladenoten . Ein Klassiker der englischen Bierstile. Passt sehr gut zu und im Gulasch, aromatischem Käse und auch zu Vanilleeis.

Bottle, many thanks herrklemann! Hazy brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, liquorice, some dark fruits. Taste is milk chocolate, liquorice, some roasted malts, bready, earthy. Low carbonation, silky mouthfeel, a bit watery. Not bad!

At Fassldippler, Wien. Not sure bottle or tap. Pours black with beige head, Coffeish aroma and flavor, medium bodied. Roasted malts, smooth, dry. Bitter finish. Wish it was less carbonated.

330 ml bottle from Grand Whisky, Vienna.
Black body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, dark beige head.
Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, toast, liquorice, caramel, some dark fruits.
Taste follows this pretty much.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes quite soft, roasty, dry, a bit alcohol warming, with toast, coffee, liquorice, suntle caramel.
Nice one. Quite light bodied, but with nice, dry roasty notes and a good balance. Not among my favourite Stouts from Austria, but really solid and drinkable.

33 cl bottle. Super gusher. Pours hazy brown with a final small tan head. Fruity, roasted malty. Mild yet pleasant infection. Roasted, dry malty. Solid bitter. Lingering mild fruity through the roasted malt. Bitter and dark breadish finish.

Dark brown colored to almost black, medium to strong creamy tan head, some floaters and yeast sediment. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, roasted barley, bit of roasted acidity also. Taste is moderate sweet chocolate, strong coffee, roasted malt and roasted barley aftertaste, ash. Dry roasted bitter finish. Medium bodied, moderate+ carbonation, bit creamy.

bottle at home. dark brown / almost black color, big tan head. smells pear, quite fruity, i get some subtle malt notes under the fruits, light coffeeish smell, earthy. smell overall quite subtle. medium body, slick mouthfeel, soft carbonation, malty roasty taste, some fruits, mulberry, light citric, also light soapy taste, light alcoholic. good lacing. dry light to medium roasty finish. also some bitter hops on the finish. light fruit notes on the aftertaste. quite good, bitterness is very subtle, so does not overlay the other tastes.
