Klare dunkel goldgelbe Farbe, wenig weißer Schaum. Geruch fein rauchig, etwas Schinken und Holz. Geschmack dezent rauchig, angenehme Schinkenaromen, leicht röstmalzig, fruchtig, gut!

Bottle - "quercus" means "oak" - for the people, who never reached the Latin A-level ;-) - Deep golden, hazy, very stable off-white creamy head; caramelly-malty nose with a shy touch of "woody" smoke, some hops detectable, too;mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; hops and well hidden fruits and malt and a touch of woody smoke in the finish. Decent franconian quality, a Rauchbier for beginners…

bottle, Dank nach Bochum! Coper-golden colour, mid-sized off-white head, lovely smoky nose. Medium-bodied, robust malt flavours with good smoke flavours. Not as smoky as a Schlenkerla, but quite pleasant.

(bottle) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a thick and slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly doughy and yeasty malty aroma with grainy spots and a whiff of smoke, including a tinge of smoked sausages, also some herbal hoppy notes are detectable in the background. Mildly sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Initially slightly grainy malty taste with shades of herbal hops, giving some spice; mildly sweet and shy bitter hoppy finish with present smoky flavours tuning in and lingering into the aftertaste. Clean, easy-going and session-able smoked beer. 29.VI.14

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, meat, smoke. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and with a average to long duration, rubber, smoke, sharp. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120907]

Herb-rauchiger Beginn mit starker Karbonisierung. Im Mittelteil rauchig bleibend, wenn auch etwas geringer als zuvor. Geringe Bitterkeit, etwas hellmalzig, grasig. Nett, schönes wäre es, wenn die Rauchigkeit nach dem Beginn nicht abflachen würde. 11/10/9/10/9/9
