Hypnotise is a two part collaboration with Burnt Mill. Two beers brewed to the same recipe bar the yeast strains. Hypnotise is influenced by the pioneering IPA’s from Vermont – super juicy but still bitter and crisp. Check out Burnt Mill’s version – Mesmerise West Coast IPA – to see what different yeast makes.

Can at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Hazy amber pour with a white head. Nose is icing sugar, grapefruit, lemon ice,. Taste is lemon ice, grapefruit, corn, whisper of tropical fruit, light spice. Spicy malty mouthfeel. Nice.

Can bought at Elusive. Aroma had sweet fruit but with a marmalade sour streak. Amber gold. Not particularly hazy at all - more of an opaqueness, minus those preserves in amber insects. Foamy microbubbled translucent white head. Medium bitter. Resinous. Piney. Tart grapefruit. Develops marmalade sweetness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. I like. Although this is supposed to be the East Coast version of the two collab beers?! The West Coast version must be more more bitter than a very bitter thing.
