Lune 2012 has a nice light copper color, it is clear and has no head. It releases balanced scents of honey and vanilla, with hints of nuts. When sipped, slightly acidic notes are counter-balanced by subtle winy nuances, accompanied by touches of almond and cooked fruit. The finish emphasizes the warmth and pleasant character of this beer.

2012 version On tap at Baladin, aged in white wine barrels. This 11.5% barleywine pours a mellow orange gold with s nutty honey maple aroma full bodied silky mouthfeel. The taste is sweet heavenly honey maple with an astringent wine like finish. Â This is a wonderful beer.

5cl bottle sample @ Baladin Milano. Couleur ambrée-cuivrée, sans col et laissant un beau filament doré au verre. Arôme est agréable oscillant sur le toffee et une pointe de barrique entre balsamique et Madère. Palais est malté grillé sur un léger sucré caramélisé. Ici encore une note de Madère avec un petit côté vin blanc de barrique mais qui arrive en toute fin de bouche. Se boit comme une liqueur avec un alcool agréable. Pas mauvais, mais pas le meilleur des Riserva Teo Musso.

Bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours hazy caramel brown with a very small bubbly goldenish beige head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and heavy malty with caramel, toffee, high quality sweet white wine, vanilla fudge, charred wood, hay, leather, sweet dark bread, dark honey, alcohol, sherry, raisins, prunes, dates and biscuits. Taste is sweet, malty and fruity with caramel, toffee, heavy raisins, sherry, dates, sweet dark bread, golden syrup, hay, sweet white wine, vanilla hard candy, butterscotch hard candy, alcohol, banana bread with chocolate chips, leather and eiswein. Mouthfeel is round, slightly sticky sweet, flat and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet, tiny bitter, tiny sour and malty with caramel, toffee, leather, raisins, sherry, sweet Riesling, eiswein, hay, prunes, dates, alcohol, vanilla fudge, butterscotch hard candy and hints of banana bread, diesel fuel and chocolate chip cookies. Incredibly complex and interesting vinous barley wine. A little carbonation and a richer palate and this would be close to perfect.

Med ölföreningen julen 2013. Smak och doft av torkad frukt, vingummi, honung, ferraribilar, zoogodisar, ljus sirap. Riktigt gott påminer om sött vitt vin. Mer av denna vara tack!

Flaska från SB. Drucken på ölföreningens julölsprovning 2013. Ingen kolsyra, mörkt gyllenfärgad med en svag rosa ton, relativt mycket bottensats. Doft av honung, vax, fat, torkad frukt, russin och rött smågodis. Elegant, söt, trevlig fatkaraktär. Komplexa smaker av dadlar, fikon, russin, rött smågodis, en lite vaxig ton, sött vitt vin. Fantastiskt god.

Murky brown color, tiny off-white head. Very alcoholic, white wineish aroma. Full-bodied, liquerish palate. Front is stronger but then very toffeish, sweet flavor leading to appley whitewineish finish. Covers alcohol completely. Nice dessert.
