A pale-gold hued ale, fermented with a Belgian yeast strain, resulting in a beer that has notes of lemon citrus from the hops, and black pepper spice from the yeast, with a dry “tingly” finish.

Tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Day 2, Session 1. Pours clear, bright yellow with a tight, white cream head. Light dry and doughy pale malt nose with hints of dried citrus. Medium sweet flavor with white bread, light bitterness, lemon and tangerine merengue. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with simple, bready pale malts. OK.

Can from Cibo Express at MSP, I was required to drink in the terminal and could not take with me to go. The beer pours a slightly hazy orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of bready malt, citrus and spice. Medium-bodied with flavors of biscuit malt, peppery yeast and fruit. The finish is doughy with a spice and citrus aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

16oz can. Hazy orange body. Pretty well balanced Saison, I think the oats are a great grounding addition. Pretty sweet and fruity. Delicate, balanced, dialed in, never overwhelming on the palate. Really mellows even more as it warms in temperature. Mellow and easy, but approaching full bodied and rich too, this is a beer I’ll enjoy revisiting and getting to know better.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. This is a clear glowing golden one with a nice medium sized bright white top. Smells fresh and inviting. Some what malty with traces of wort, thin grapefruit juice, fresh citrus and light fruits. Really quenchable this. Light on the mouthfeel with a soft to average carbonation level. Again some thin grapefruit juice in the taste, and I will say that it tastes summery - like in something I would want to drink lots of in the summer. Light, fresh some grassy hoppy tones. Really good flavors going on here. 04.05.2013
