Belgian-Style Pale Ale

A pale-gold hued ale, fermented with a Belgian yeast strain, resulting in a beer that has notes of lemon citrus from the hops, and black pepper spice from the yeast, with a dry “tingly” finish.

Admin Note: Retired in 2019, but appears on draft occasionally.

Frisk fruktig lukt med preg av lys malt, humle, tørka frukt, gjær, sitrusskal, høy, krydder, sitrus, gras. Frisk smak med preg av lys malt, humle, høy, gjær, gras, krydder, ugras, korn, sitrusskal. Middels bitterhet som set litt. Grei.

CBC.Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, yeasty and spicy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate biter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 040513

Draught @ CBC. Pours golden with a white head, leaving nice lacings. Aroma of malt, yeast, sweet fruity hops, apricot, brett, citrus. Flavor is malt, yeasty, sweet fruit, apricot, flowers, little citrus. Thin body, lively carbonation, dry finish. 040513

Sample @ CBC. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are fruits, flowers, spices, yeast, malt and hops.

Tap @ CBC. Clear deep golden with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, yeast, spices and hop. Flavour is malt, fruit, yeast, spcies, hop, little sweet and medium bitter.

Draught at CBC. Deacent clean saison, banana and esters. Similar to saison dupont but in lack of depth.

Sample @ Cbc. Pours clear golden with a white head. Berry tartness and vanilla sweetness in aroma. Tastes like a traditional saison. Its crisp and quite dry. The sourness seems somewhat missplaced.

Tap at CBC 2013. Pours go,den with a white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, banana, light fruits and biscuit. Flavor is light moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Pours clear yellow with a smooth white head. Aroma of farmhouse, yeast, spices and tart fruits. Taste is fruity, sweetish and yeasty with some farmhouse notes. Finish is fruity and yeasty. Okay, quite sweet saison.

Draft. Bright clear golden color, white edge head. Aroma of slightly funky hay. Taste is barnyard and straw.
