This golden ale carries notes of passion fruit and honey in the aroma. A suggestion of biscuit is found in the beer’s varied palate. Brewed with our 2-row barley blend, hopped with Nugget and Hallertau, then fermented on our house yeast, Tripel offers up a complex, yet dry finish.

Batch 114. Pours with a large, off-white creamy head and a murky yellow body. Aroma of orange zest, honey, yeast and spice. Taste is sweet, spicy, and a bit of candied orange peel. Sharp bubbles and a dryish mouthfeel.
Notes from Batch 46 (1998 Bottle consumed in Feb. 2009): Hazy golden color with a generous white head. Aroma is sweet and bready. Notes of raisins and sherry covering up light spice. Hint of cardboard oxidation. Smells like a sherry dosed plain original donut. Taste is bready, sweet with notes of sherry. Mouthfeel is starting to show a little bit of thinning, but it is still pleasant. Light carbonation.

Pour is a bright but cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is nice with yeast, vanilla and fresh fruit. Flavor is decent as well with lots of yeast and cirtus fruit. Aftertaste leaves a nice berry on the tounge. Above par tripel as this is not overly sweet and the alcohol is no prob.

750 ml bottle. The aroma is light stone fruit accompanied by sour. Hazy golden color with a lacing off-white head. Full bodied with creamy/chewy carbonation. Flavors are multiple. Bready malt, citrus, coriander, banana, other kinds of fruits. It is not sweet. It seems dry. It seems bitter. It seems to be a really good drink. The finish is clean and refreshing - weird to say that about a tripel. My mouth is puckering. It is a really good drink. Not that standard off-sweet tripel. Repeat: Good.

Unclear orange with a fine white lasting creamy head & lacings. Aroma is of yeast, fruits - peach & orange, alcohol & some spices. The alcohol bites the cheek a bit and the carbonation is quite high. Other than that its a full bodied well crafted tripel. Light sweet & sticky before a dry end!

Bottle as shown. Batch #75. Pours a pale light yellow color with a medium frothy off white head. The aromas is very fruity and floral. Very good lacing on this one. The taste is very sweet and fruity with a dry finish. This is an excellent abbey tripel from Allagash.

RB #1900. 75 cL bottle (batch 95). Pours hazy orange with a dense and a huge and light orange head. Aroma sweet malty with a decent level of belgian yeast note and some spices. Smooth mouthfeel, softly textured. Flavour starts sweet malty, nice and smooth caramel flavour. A classic yet nice yeast flavour takes over and goes into the finish with a slight herbal note and a distinct bite before the end. Lovely a great balance. Very well made.
