This golden ale carries notes of passion fruit and honey in the aroma. A suggestion of biscuit is found in the beer’s varied palate. Brewed with our 2-row barley blend, hopped with Nugget and Hallertau, then fermented on our house yeast, Tripel offers up a complex, yet dry finish.

Alcohol burn is more noticeable in this American variety than in its Belgian cousins, but the flavor is spot on. Agood example of the tripel style

Complex aroma of subdued fruit, earth floor and honeycomb. Hazy goldenrod with a fluffy, white head of small bubbles. Well rounded flavors of earth and sugar, with husky grain.

Pours cloudy blond with a bit of head. Smells initially like a German hefe then gives way as it warms up to a bazooka bubble gum aroma. Taste is soft and pleasant on carbonation. There’s plenty of good florals involved in this operation and even a little hay, citrus and banana. Bottle from City market Onion co-op in Burlington.

Draught at Toronado. Yeasty pilsner malt nose, with citrus fruits. Sweet honey flavor, biscuity malt, prominent alcohol. Very fruity, and too sweet and boozy. Was good when paired with the boar sausage from next door, but very disappointing on its own, seeing how much I had been wanting to try this. Probably better in the bottle.

12 ounce bottle into goblet, no bottle date. Pours hazy golden amber color with a fairly dense 1 finger white head with good retention that reduces to a fairly thick lacing cap. Small amount of lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of big clove, spices, grass, pepper, honey, and banana. Nice aromas with good strength. Taste of big pepper, clove, spices, banana, and grass; with some lemon, bread, and floral notes as well. No bitterness present, but there is a fairly long finish with lingering notes of spice, pepper, banana, bread, and light fruitiness. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied. Fairly thick and creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol is fairly well hidden, only a decent amount of warming is present on the finish. Very nice complex balance of all flavors, with good drinkability for the level of alcohol. Overall, and excellent tripel with great complexity and balance.
