Scotch Barrel Aged Imperial Golden Sour Ale - Single Barrel Release - This extremely complex and layered sour was aged in a Speyside single malt scotch barrel. We decided not to add any adjuncts to this beer so we could really let the barrel character shine. Speyside whiskies have no peat or smoke character, and tend to be sweet, citrusy, and nutty. The beer carries those exact flavors, and marries with the barrel to create a nice sweet orange flavor, along with a welcome touch of alcoholic heat.
