Santa’s Little Helper, our Imperial Stout, starts with an emphasis on dark cocoa and roasted coffee aromatics. The finish lends hints of sweet crystal malt, warming tones of alcohol and a touch of hops, making a perfect accompaniment to leftover fruit cake and sugar cookies.

Bottle @ camping ratebeer 2014. Pitch black clour with a small off-white. Smells sweet, chocolate, roasty, coffee. Tastes sweet, chocolate, roasty, coffee, slightly sugary. Full body, thick, soft carbo.

650ml Flasche. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein schwarzes Bier mit geringer bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Schokolade, Kaffee. Geschmack röstmalzig süß nach Schokolade, Kaffee, leicht alkoholisch.

Bomber. Pours inky black with a large foamy brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts and a bit of umami and green hops. The taste is roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, green coffee, mild hints of vanilla and caramel. Medium bodied, low carbonation, slight alcohol warmth. Straightforward, solid imperial stout.

POPE, Philadelphia tap ($6.50): Pours black with a brownish head. Aroma is chocolate, licorice, roasted malts, toffee, and even a little bit of nuts. Taste is slightly sweet. Quite roasty. Plenty of chocolate. Perhaps some dark fruits. A hint of licorice. Nice.
