330ml bottle. Clear chestnut colour with late awakening, average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Earthy, nuttily, dark malty aroma with a touch of treacle and liquorice. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, notes of treacle, a nuttily touch, some liquorice, dry hoppy overtones with cardboard touch; chewy mouthfeel. Slightly cautious, if not anaemic for a DOPPELbock.

33cl bottle. Poured mahogany color with a thick off white head. Fresh bready, rye, molasses, caramel aroma. Flavor has sweetness, bread, molasses, caramel. Nice balance. In par with most of the German doppelbock. Very enjoyable. Body is somewhat thin perhaps.
