Inspired by Mexican hot chocolate, this bourbon and tequila barrel aged stout oozes with rich cocoa and spicy cinnamon aromas with background notes of sweet vanilla. It finishes with a hint of heat from roasted ancho chiles, complementing the full bodied decadent flavors. Microbes: Saccharomyces. Barrels: freshly emptied Heaven Hill bourbon and Cazadores tequila. Special ingredients: cinnamon, ancho chile, vanilla beans, cocoa nibs.

16.9 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of tequila barrel, light cinnamon, a touch of spiciness, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is cohesive, with cinnamon and chili upfront, accentuated by tequila barrels, a touch of bourbon, and a touch of cocoa. Nice cinnamon and chili, with just enough sugars. Far from my favourite Alesong, but this is done well.

Dark brown. Thin head. Big ancho aroma, really nice bourbon note with just a light tequila on the nose. Solid, fairly chocolatey base. the ancho comes through, I assume there's cinnamon in here. Good balance, the tequila only contributes a bit to the finish. Really good.

Poured from 500mL bottle (vintage 2025). Very dark brown with minimal tan head. Ancho, light cinnamon and vanilla, touch of cacao, just a hint of tequila and bourbon barrel. Decent.

On tap at Nebulous. Pours a almost pitch black hue with a medium beige head. A huge spicy nose, lots of cinnamon. Rich. Layers of chocolate, cinnamon, spicy notes, wood. Very flavorful.

Plasticated capped 500 from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy suntan head (check historic USA army uniforms). Aroma of chocolate and chili. Full bodied. Flavor is quite a mix: cinnamon/chocolate/chili/tequila and seeming bourbon and non-musty oak. Lots going on with this. Very good flavor. Not dry, and not really bitter, but I don't think those concepts really should apply here. :)

Bottle picked up from Beerdome Webshop Grootegaste Netherlands (I think?) consumed in Frank, Lenggries Bergcamping Saturday 15th January 2022 listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6 Music, we had Lasagna tonight. Pours black with a fast disappearing head. There is some warmth from the chilli, chocolate comes through, the barrel ageing is noticeable but a bit on the heavy side. Thick oily moutheel, good, in fact very good.

Reminds me of prairie bomb but chocolate milk. So much chocolate milk. Nesquik but with vanilla and a mild spicy back. Love this. Cinnamon somewhere on the nose. Maybe I should have had lunch first, cause it's almost gone and it's
nearly 13%. Smooth #ddp
