The elegant beer for connoisseurs who love a light, hoppy bitterness and a refined dry taste. Finest Saphir hops provide the typical lemony aroma and gently kiln-dried malt gives the beer its light color. Lean and vibrant - a first-class Pilsner beer.

Pours pale gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sweet cookie and bread aromas. Crisp with sourdough and slight corn. The trip to the US probably didn’t help it any.

2000th rate. 500ml bottle. Pale, filtered peachy yellow with a nice, frothy white head. Doughy, peppery hop aroma. A touch of sweet butter under the smooth malt. Impressive, considering this probably sat in warehouses and on the shelf for a considerable amount of time. A quality Pils all the way, really nails the style. Bready, medium body, a lot more subtle character and richness than a lot of US versions. Probably significantly better fresh in Austria. OK.

Bottle. Golden yellow pour with thick white head. Floral bouquet. Light to medium body, malty with a hop edge. Bitter finish. A bit of unpleasant greasiness that went away as the beer warmed

Bottle. Gold with a modest white head. Aroma is grainy with spicy hops. Straightforward clean pils malt and balancing nobel hops with a decent length bitter finish. Nothing very interesting about it but crisp and very drinkable.

I picked this up as part of a mix & match 6 pack at Trader Joe’s; enjoyed while watching Sunday football. Appearance is a very clear gold with a light head, typical of a lager. Aroma of corn and lager yeast. Taste surprisingly sweet with grapefruit notes, decent mouthfeel, has a little more going on than your typical lager, not bad but wouldn’t enjoy regularly.

500 mL bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a large frothy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Skunky aroma with notes of grain, corn and a sweet finish. The taste is bitter, grassy hops with a minty finish and sweet grainy notes. Thin. Not very good.

Hay aroma with cane sugar and mint hints. Clear yellow, thick white head, some lacing. Metallic, with little flavor save for an unpleasant sweetness of sugar. Weak and not so great.

Very lively clear gold pour, with a huge, lasting soapy head - aroma is of light honeyed malts, crisp, grassy hops and semi-sweet floral character - the flavor is fairly dry, at least through the first half - some crackery malt and crisp hop bitterness - gets a little yeasty and semi-sweet through the middle, and it develops an odd, grapey kind of fruitiness - slightly medicinal bitterness in the finish - meh.
