We’re confessing our Secret Krush for the gritty old days when the fertile Mount Pleasant music scene gave rise to a slew of pioneering punk rock bands.

This beer is our tribute to the wild spirit and frenetic energy of those masters of sonic mayhem and the righteous ruckus of the time.

Made with Krusher yeast, Pahto and Czech Saaz hops, pilsner malt and fermented under pressure, Secret Krush is a crisp, easy-drinking lager that channels the blood, sweat and tears of punk in its prime.

Poured from 473mL can. Clear blonde with minimal white head. Quite bland and watery with a hint of grass hops. Lacklustre.

On tap at Main Street, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is mild, with straw and a touch of grass. Flavour is crisp and clean, with straw, biscuity malt and a touch of grass. Clean and drinkable, with no flaws. But it's a forgettable lager.

Very light pale straw body with little foam. Aroma is soft grassy honey. Taste is weak sweet grain, vague hops, ends watery with little carbonation. I swear there are good pale lagers out there, but this isn't one of them.
