Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt, cake, and coffee, with touches of yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with touches of coffee, sweet notes of cake, malt, and yeast, and hints of dried fruits. Roasty and malty aftertaste. Bitter and warming alcohol presence. Decent stuff.

Creamy tan head on a near black still body. Coffee aroma. Full bodied, soft creamy smooth & clean. Sweet pastry, demerara, syrup, blueberry & Christmas cake tastes with a lightly hopped fruity finish. That's a Top Drop.

Can on 712 to Edinburgh, picked up from Beermerchants online, 24/02/23. Irish rate #500. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is coffee grinds, dark malts, spice, light charr, mellow whisky. Taste comprises roasted bite, vanilla, chocolate, spice, whisky kiss, coffee grinds. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Solid coffee laden affair.

Far and away the best beer I had today at Apollon Platebar. Served in a mini-Teku looking glass, it presented coal black with an attractive ring of tan foam. The nose was nice with vanilla, coffee, chocolate and baked bread. The taste surpassed that, berries, more of the vanilla, cereal, caramel, cane syrup and sorghum. Actually the best beer of my entire trip.
