Our infamous Black Tuesday is an Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon barrels for over a year. Rich caramel, toasted malt, vanilla, burnt wood, anise are just a few of the many flavors of this rich, decadent imperial stout.

Black Tuesday, our barrel aged stout, created quite a stir at our humble brewery amassing an unexpected response from craft beer lovers around the nation. It didn't come as a huge surprise that people were in love with our deep, dark, rich and nearly 20% abv beer that ages in bourbon barrels for well over a year, but the instantaneous success of the beer was definitely a shock. Bottle at home 24/7/10... huge thanks to Chris for this one ... deep black ... no head ... barest lacing ... huge bourbon vanilla nose .... deep roast ... too much bourbon ... big vanilla ... nice but too rich ... too much bourbon... littled chocolate ... sweet toffee

Side by side with 2011. Massive difference. This really aged well, big portification noticable. Boozy, rich and smooth, some bourbon but very fruity. Raisins, some wood. Maybe still a bit too hot, but tasting great. Thanks, fun comparison

Thanks to Beer Savant for sharing a bottle during his 50th birthday bash. Pours inky black with a medium light brown head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Aroma of bourbon, coffee and dark fruit. Rich and velvety body with flavors of oaky bourbon, dark chocolate, raisins and vanilla. The finish is sweet molasses and malt and leaves a lingering chocolate cherry liqueur aftertaste. Very good all around.
