Brewed for the 50th Anniversary of the C&0 Canal National Historic Park. “Captain Myers” is named for the canal boat captain that accidentally hit and destroyed the stone wall at the nearby Conococheague Aqueduct in 1920. This aqueduct was restored in 2018 and is one of the showpieces of the C&O Canal in this section of the park.

Taster at brewery. Dark, clear amber with a thin off-white foamy head. Aroma is malty with rye mustiness. Taste is strong rye flavors, bready and getting a bit dry at the finish.
