This beer contains a 60/40 blend of golden sour ale fermented with our Goat Wizard house culture which was aged for three months in stainless. This was blended with a golden sour ale aged in oak wine barrels for two years, originally brewed by our friends at Fierce Brewing in Aberdeen.

The blended beer was refermented and aged on 300g/l of whole Scottish raspberries (Cascade varietal) from Pittormie Fruit Farm, located seven miles from the brewery.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark pinkish red with a small white head. Aroma has bright, tart raspberries, a touch of wild yeast, and light floral notes. Flavour is complex, with a bright raspberry character, plenty of complex bugginess, and light acidity. Excellent berry character that melds well with their great buggy base.

Hazy rose pink with a bubbly pink-tinged white head. Big tart fruit aroma, raspberry & maybe some blackcurrant I’d say. Spritzy and sharp, tart raspberry to the fore, massively refreshing

Keg draught at the Cellar, Chester. Deep pink and mostly clear with a small ring of white head. A good raspberry aroma: doesn’t knock you sideways but neither is it particularly subtle. A little herbal character, maybe dried grass. Very tart taste, vinous notes with a cherry candy sweetness providing balance before the finish. Body’s light, but lifted by the heavy carbonation. Superb.

Keg at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Red pour with a light pink head. Aromas of raspberry jam, red cherries, lots of red fruits in there. Tart taste of raspberry jam, strawberry sherbet, more red cherries. Tart 'n' tasty.
