Pours a transparent dark pale golden fading into light amber. Average sized white head, decent retention, not much lacing to speak of. Smell suggests a pretty sweet beer per style, with a rather strong honey and chamomille character, followed by light fruitiness (sweet/golden apple, slightly lemonish) and by a light background of hay and cereals. The overall feeling in the aroma is pretty neat and vivid with a pleasant, slightly comforting/warming hint. Taste notes more or less confirm the aroma, with a slight sweet edge in both taste and aftertaste and a touch of floral hops to add. Maybe not as bright as the aroma suggested. Quite light in body with very delicate carbonation; a very classicly franconian super drinkable mouthfeel. Overall: not really fitting the helles labeling, but still a very solid and pleasant easy drinker.

(Keg at Captain Corvus, 20230105) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, grain and mildly butter. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, grain, mildly butter, some sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy, fruity and bitter. A nice grassy brew with mild butter notes.
