Oh well this will be a weird one, presented as a sour ipa with callista hops on showcase. On tap at Helmut Treviso, half pint 3,50. Yellow to golden color, almost clear (i’ve seen other glasses hazed), white head as an average lager, some sparkles. Aroma: first of all citric acid and soda, then lemon, unripe passion fruit and pomegranate. Then malts comes up to save the day, a very pleasing (added much needed) smoothness rounds the edges, somehow as a radler, very funny in the palate. Man i bet this contains lemon juice. Body is light, strong carbonation, very tart taste, dry acidic finish. Well, out of the ordinary. I generally don’t like sour beers but this is fairly drinkable and refreshing, not to have in quantity, half pint is enough.

Tap. Hazy orange color with big white head. Aroma is sweatsocks, mango, passion fruit, some fresh yeast, lacto sourness. Taste is passion fruit and mango juice, with a touch of tartness. Thick juicy mouthfeel, low to medium carbonation. Very good, but a bit too sweaty in the aroma.

0,1l from tap at Biergreissler, Vienna. yellow light hazy color, medium big white head. smells citric, acidic, passion fruit, light dill, herbal, spices, nice smell. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes quite citric at first, doughy, acidic, lactic, some fruit notes, grassy, herbal. sourness fades towards the finish. finishes lightly sour with notes of citrus, dough and some spices. nice one overall. mix of sour and malt notes is quite interesting. quite drinkable.
