500ml bottle delivered from the Blue Boar, Leicester, during the lockdown and drunk at home. Light gold, only slightly hazy with a dappling of white head. Gentle floral aroma with citrus peel, orchard fruit and notes of banana. Tastes bittersweet, with intense bitterness taking control mid-sip. Dry-as-a-bone finish with green apple notes in the aftertaste. Medium to heavy carbonation. Gorgeous.

Cask, half-pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates Shropshire on 6th Apr 2017. Light golden pour, clean, bright and clear, white crown on top. Typical Mallinsons citrusy brew, subtle differences in which citrus fruit comes to the fore, grapefruit seemed to win in this beer.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with lots of yeast flecks and a thin white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of Crunchy Nut, lemon, peanuts and lavender. Flavour of grapefruit, cherry tomatoes and green banana. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Light fizz. Ugly and quite soapy.

Cask @ The Cellar, Chester [011215]
Light blonde, clear, thin white head
Aroma of soft citrus, light pale malt, soft grapefruit
Taste of nice bitter zest, fruity grapefruit, nice clean pale malt background, really good flavour
Palate - Light body, bit oily, nice bitter zest, good bitter sweet balance, clean palate. Finish of fresh lingering bitter zest, just right.
Overall - Mallinsons are just great at making these light pale hopped beers. Quaffable, easy, good flavour.
