Eine Reise zur Hopfenernte ins Yakima Valley inspirierte unsere Interpretation des West Coast IPA mit deutschem Twist und ist speziell für „HopHeads“ gebraut. Die noch unbenannte Hopfensorte HBC 431 bringt die fruchtigen Aromen nach Orange und Mandarine ins Bier Das Zusammenspiel mit einer weiteren amerikanischen und einer deutschen Hopfensorten ergibt ein vielschichtiges Bier mit einer besonders tropisch-fruchtigen, leicht harzigen Note und einer ordentlichen Bittere. Dabei überrascht das IPA bei jedem weiteren Schluck mit immer neuen spannenden tropischen Aromen und macht einfach Lust auf mehr!

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso il luppolo. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e la maniera in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana medio-fine. Il liquido è di aspetto velato. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è deciso. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Il finale è amarognolo. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, luppolo, resina, agrumi, pompelmo, arancia amara e ananas.

On tap in Berlin on Sunday 14th May 2023. Amber body, white crust. Citrusy nose and initial taste, some maltiness comes through mid-sip.

Bottled (thanks to my parents!). Goldeny amber colour with a mediumsized white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is fruity, biscuity and some grainy notes. Flavour is floral, some wooden, biscuity and sweet malty notes.

33cl bottle at Deli Coffee Kitchen, Frankfurt Airport. Pours deep golden with a modest, white head. Malty and fruity with caramel and mild herbal notes. Sweet and malty and more so than expected from a West Coast style IPA, but this has supposedly the German twist. Rather drinkable and fairly enjoyable, but a bit too much on the sweet side for my taste. Pleasant bitterness, thou.

Bottle. Dark golden color, slightly blurred, almost white foam. Aroma: a bit sweet, citrus and fruits, pear, malt. Taste: sweet, lollipops, a little caramel, fruits and citruses, a little grapefruit, medium coniferous bitterness.

Bottle shared with JMD at Tau slipp & båtbyggeri 25.07.19. Clear straw colour. Fine white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of pilsner malt, citrus and apricot. Good drinkability. More taste than aroma.
