Sein Aroma ist würzig fruchtig und erinnert an Orange und Zitrone. Im Geschmack ist es angenehm karamellig und bitter herb im Abgang.
Das Bier ist mit traditioneller Flaschengärung hergestellt und in der Flasche gereift. Es ist weder filtriert, noch sonst wie behandelt.
Es ist ebenfalls die moderne Interpretation eines traditionellen Bieres, allerdings eines englischen!

33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg.
. Aroma has nuts, sweet caramelly malt and hints of coffee. A bit mild. Flavour has somewhat aggressive hops, some cold coffee, nuts and harsh maltiness. Not the most typical brown ale, closer to an amber ale. Somewhat enjoyable anyway.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - citrus and fruity. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. Not really a brown ale. 190615

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass brownish, nice head. Fine hoppy aroma. Starts malty, light roasty, more and more hoppy-grasy with a fine sourish background. Not too intense. Light hints of caramel. Finish mild, fine grasy-hoppy. Good one!

Smooth and fresh beginning. Hints of sweetish malt, round and fresh. Malty-floral mainpart, nice fresh and floral hops on a malty-orange basis. The aftertaste is herbal, orange, nice floral hops, great fresh malt, round and easy to drink but still deep. Nice.

Leicht trübe kastanienbraune Farbe, ordentliche leicht beige Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig hopfig, Citrus. Geschmack sehr malzig, Karamell, im Abgang hopfig bitter, fruchtig, gut!

getrunken 2014 auf der Braukunst live in München
Damals war ich so berauscht von den hopfigen IPAs und bitteren Porters, dass mir dieses recht milde, süßliche Brown Ale einfach zu fade war. Ich muss aber neidlos anerkennen, dass es sich durch seine hopfige Vielfältigkeit, welche im HIntergrund werkelte, die positiven Rezensionen hier doch verdient hatte. Ein Bier, das mich reizen würde es nochmals zu probieren.
