Bottled 330ml. -from E.Leclerc Ljubljana as Britt Blonde Melen. Hazy yellow coloured, medium sized white head, mild spicy nose. Malty, caramel, spicy, coriander as well and sugar with rather short and slightly watery finish. Drinkable but nothing special here.

Pálida y turbia, con poca espuma. Aroma poco significativa. En boca tiene un sabor bastante lupulado, muy floral y a piel de naranja, junto con cierto toque a fermento que empeora el conjunto. Notable carbonatacion. Apreciable.

bottle from savuer-biere. Brewed with buckwheat. Slightly hazy golden yellow, large white head. Spicy and nice perfumy hop aroma. Medium-bodied, grainy malt flavours, perfumy floral hop notes with a resiny-fruity touch.

2nd Nov 2010: Brown 33cl bottle, poured into a ’Hoegaarden Grand Cru’ stemmed tulip. This beer was formally 5%ABV, mine was 6%ABV. A slight haze in the body gives it a dark golden hue, on top a white bubbley head. Citrus fruits dominate the nose, really sour aroma, more than a hoppy citrus smell, this is lemon, lime and grapefruit all blended together. The taste is also citrusy, leaning towards a vinegarous feel. It was at this point I noticed it’s best before date was 27 Aug 2010, which means it was reviewed over two months after that. Hope the beer wasn’t on the turn as I wrote the review. Also ’miffed’ I paid full price for it (yesterday). Different and an OK beer, France has some good stuff, I’ll carry on trying to find the best ones and review them on here!

33cl bottle. Pours a hazy lemon colour with some head and very gentle bubble. The nose has lemon sorbet and yoghurt. The taste has more lemon with a background malt note, then yeast with some hops at the end. The palate has medium structure, a creamy texture and a fairly clean finish. Overall, a like this style a lot and it’s a fairly good example.

Hazy gold beer. Soft palate. Semi sweet malt with mild lemon and orange. Another tasty little French number!
