Black body, “svartkropp” in Swedish, is a physical entity in perfect balance and with infinite integrity. It is also the name of our premier stout. Its complex body is a balancing act with nine types of malt, including a peated Islay variety, muscovado sugar, and a combination of Chinook and Cascade hops. Like all our beers, Svartkropp is hand-made, bottle-conditioned and unfiltered to ensure the truest and most genuine flavour. This stout can be stored and matured for years. Once opened, serve in a snifter to fully enjoy your Modernist beer!

Bottle 330ml. [ As Modernist Svartkropp ].Clear dark brown color with a large to huge, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, dark malt, smoked. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, malt bitter, smoke, roasted, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160109]

Bottle @ Home. Pours black with a brown head, lacings. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee, dark chocolate, little smoke. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, malts, candy sugar, chocolate, bitter dark chocolate. Medium body, soft carboantion, light warming alcohol. 100116

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Strong coffee notes. long heavy bitter coffee finish. creamy palate.

Bottle @ Saxo tasting. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and peat. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 090116

330ml Bottle - Black with a tan head. Liquorice, plain chocolate, coffee and hints of ash in the aroma. Rich taste with liquorice, coffee and plain chocolate combining well with the very noticeable yet not excessive smoky notes.
