Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized foamy off white head that left good lacing. The aroma was tangy pine, vague fruits and pepper. The flavor was sweet and tangy pine, hot pepper, a bit of citrus, floral hops and tropical fruits. Medium length finish of pine, pepper and citrus and the brew turns bitter towards the very end. Moderately full bodied. Nice.

Bottle Sweet juicy mango, grapefruit, green onion, and spicy hops aroma. Slightly hazy yellow with a large white head, suspended yeast sediment. Sweet tropical fruit, citrus and oniony hops, light biscuity malt flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Aroma: The aroma is lots of juicy hop (tropical and citrus) with some grass and pine notes
Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy golden-yellow color with a bright white head and plus lacework
Flavor: The taste is mid-sweet, lots of fruity flavors, punchy, tart, and solidly bitter too
Palate: The body is medium, it has some stickiness, plus carbonation, and a mid-dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty nice one. If this beer were The Supremes, the tropical/citrus flavors are definitely Diana Ross. The rest of the components are just signing backup. All-in-all, it makes for a very juicy beer that blends the sweet, tart, and bitter flavors you get from this type of hop nicely.

The appearance has a hazy golden yellow colored body with a half finger white foamy head that dies within thirty seconds leaving a nice glossing of lacing clinging to the glass.
The smell has some sharp juicy citrus with a decent bitterness coming through somewhat spicy (comes through slightly peppery to me - I like it).
The taste is bitter and spicy and gets somewhat sweet as it warms. There is a spicy and somewhat citrusy sweet aftertaste with a quick dry bitter finish.
On the palate, she sits about a medium on the mouth and tongue; proclaims a decent sessionable aspect to it despite it being at 9% (9% really, wow, ABV is extremely well hidden, wowee). It does seem more of a harsher than smoother feel on the mouth and tongue than other DIPA’s I’ve had.
Overall, I had the Dirt Wolf last Autumn, this one is a completely different DIPA than that and I like it for what it is. If I lived back East I would be picking up a case of this.

From a 12 oz bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a thick off white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of bread and citrus with a malty smoothness. Medium bodie. BItter finish.

Tap East. Keg. Light haze on this amber beer, small off white head. Smooth and silky palate, slightly viscous. Fine carbonation. Smooth and slightly sweet malt, touch of caramel. Big piney hops with lesser tropical fruits and bitter aniseed. Floral bitterness. Finishes smooth and semi dry with a moderate peel bitter linger. Solid but compared to some of the UK brewed DIPAs of late, the US ain’t always top dog anymore.

35cl Bottle, tfs Harmen! Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of lots of passion fruit, citrus, tropical fruits. Flavour of passion fruit, somewhat soapy, alcohol, grapes, pineapple, malts, grapefruit and passion fruit in the hoppy bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice, different.

Draft at Smoke and Barrel. Poured a clear golden color with a small fluffy white head. Aroma was some boozy malts, citrus, hop notes - pine. Flavor was pine resin notes, with some orange, citrus notes. Some alcohol heat here.
