Bottled at RBESG. Hazy deep golden, small head. Fruity with some grass and butter. Medium bodied with nice chewy malt and soft mouthfeel. Low bitterness.

Bottle (bought at the Brauerei): Deep golden, a bit unclear with a small and stable (almost off-)white head; sweet pale-malt honey, alcohol and aromatic hops in the aroma; solid sweet-bitter flavour; oaky hops detectable in the sweet-malty and slightly alcoholic finish. Decent, but not excellent.....

On tap at Cafe Abseits, Bamberg 5/11/07. Golden with a decent white head. Sweet malt aroma. The flavour was also very sweet with a slightly resinous hop finish. Slightly syrupy mouth feel, but not bad overall.

50 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy yellow with a diminished white head. Sweet and slight spiced aroma. Flavour is mildly sweet. A nice caramel malt flavour and a soft bitterness lurking beneath. Ends soft with no real alcohol feeling. Good.5-3-6-3-11=2.8

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, deep golden with a nice, off-white head. Sweetish, malty nose. Fairly full in body with a very solid malt base. Appears a little tired perhaps. Dry finish. 311007

Bottle. Clear light amber color with a average fizzy fair lacing mostly lasting white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, some notes of alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.

Brownish tinted, dense head, fed by good carbonation from pale amber beer with slight mossy shine. Quite alcoholic nose, brown sugar, cookie malt, hints of toffee and dry pine needles aroma. Sweet malt taste, cookies, honey and quite toasted. An absolute amalgam of malts, completely unidirectional. Slightly earthy finish, leaving an impression of bitter aftertaste. Quite sticky MF, near cloying. Its weak point is definitely its excessive sweetness. Medium to well bodied, very slick. The textbook example of being "more than the sum of its parts". This is better than the individual marks might suggest. A malt bomb - well, OK. It COULD do with a serious hopkick in the b*tt. Thanks Don for supply.

(swing top bottle) Clear amber colour with a frothy white medium-sized head. Dusty and moderately sweet toasty malty aroma with light notes of caramel. Light sweet flavour, medium body, medium carbonation. Slightly toasty malty taste; medium-dry, light bitter and quite slim finish for a Bock, though it is quite balanced and pretty drinkable.
